on the radio over the weekend there was a program about greed.. a discussion group.. the question seemed to be.. did gordon geko win?? I missed the first half of the program. it gave a jewish, a Christian, and a humanist position.
they agreed that it is part of human nature.. that was about the extent of the agreement.
it reminded me of a story I once smoke-dreamed:--
someome asked a sage if he ever had gross thoughs. he replied that he would be too polite to talk about it if he did..(hehehe)
of course human nature can be greedy just as children will pick their nose if not stopped.. its pretty puerile if you think about it. the question.
the point is that the focus is on the wrong thing altogether.. the real topic should be wtf is a human? and where should it be heading.?
so far as I am concerned one gets positions out of 1. the kama sutra and 2. the hatha yoga pradipika. other positions are for those clutching onto the past. (humanists, jews, so called christians etc.. etc..)
all my friends agree that a new age has begun. a new cycle of energy has swung in. the planet, the system, the cosmos is subject to cyclic energies.. believe it or not.
the moribund religious forms of the past era have cracked and basically are falling to pieces like twin towers. even ayatollahs are def. on the way out.. like the kings of france, dogma is so out. like so out.. everywhere..
so what are we to do.?
Gordon geko was a flash in the pan. .anyone can see that… greed is just a negative emotion of the heart.. fear and greed are two sides of the same scam.. people want more because they fear lack. it is a poverty consciousness. it can never last. you know that! (read bob proctor if you are yet to realize it.).
but what is the next step??
attempting to salvage something from a burnt out religion is probably not a worthwhile investment of time.. they (organised religions) are vehicles whose power has been unplugged. like a gas guzzler of the 70’s. only an idiot would have an unreconstructed belief system in ‘90s greed or some holy cow theology or other. (I’m not saying that idiots aren’t plentiful)
the principles of good religion are the same wherever you go.. um..---
wash your hands and face, tell the truth, fair work for fair pay.. regular bowel movements . don’t even touch tobacco it’s a scam ..!! love one another… thats about it.. think positive..yep.
it shouldnt be that hard.. once you get your priorities right.
people make a lot of freaking noise about things they shouldn’t.
in days of debt expansion (the past 50 years in the American sphere) greed is ‘good.’ the usa and its allies are now in a depression or days of debt contraction. its been exacerbated by reactionaries who what to continue with the ‘greed is good’ dogma…. they are digging a hole in a hole. in a hole in a…..
but……
in the new age, frugality is in.
frugality (not cheapness) accords with good religion.. like good sex that knows no distractions….. it’s def. in. maybe the reactionaries should try it some time instead of just trying to sell it...
